This intimate room was inspired by a classic Lee Jofa floral fabric, with shades of soft aqua, dusty pink, and rich cream. The client's oriental rug became the perfect backdrop to host this welcoming formal living space.
This master bath had to be both pretty and practical, as the client is older now and sometimes needs a little support. She just didn't want it to be too obvious. And its not!

A Chinoiserie Inspired Cottage
This 1930's bungalow was given new life with classic Chinoiserie style. By layering patterns, trims and rugs, and repurposing all of the owners treasured antique pieces, these spaces came alive. Our concept for this elegant living room is an 'urban safari.' It is a metaphor for this luxurious oasis from our client's big-city life. We created a palette of animal and tribal prints, sumptuous [faux] furs, and glitzy patterned sheers. African art, sparkling gemstones, and many textural influences provide exotic accents.
The space before lacked a unique perspective. As you can see, the bones of the space are excellent--they just needed to be set off to their best advantage.
We created this dining room chandelier to hang over the table and give the space some literal 'sparkle.'

This view wasn't possible before the renovation. A load-bearing wall separated the kitchen from the dining areas. The dramatic rustic, wood beam allowed us to open the spaces up to one another for this dynamic view.
Crisp subway tiles keep the kitchen light and bright, while the inset doors on the cabinetry provide a classic, sophisticated appearance. What would you want to cook in this kitchen? Let us know!

Sometimes, you just need to hire a professional! Before, the space was dark and overwhelming, and in major need of some design attention... The chaotic arrangement of books, fixtures, & furnishings was not conducive to entertaining or studying.
A gorgeous cut-crystal cordial set and some fresh flowers sit on a beautiful mirrored tray. Just above, you can see the light catching the etched mirror and the grass-cloth used to line the walls.

The home has beautiful stained wood trim, but it stood in stark contrast to the white walls. We knew that we had to dial back that contrast by covering the walls in a beautiful grasscloth wallcovering.
We incorporated two more matching sconces on this side of the room and were able to use some photography our clients picked up at a local art fair. We absolutely love the finished look!

This lovely vignette brings the whole concept together: the bronze sculpture of the steer is set in juxtaposition to the shell and a ladder-back chair that features fabric inspired by coral. All of this sits in front of the backdrop of blowing grasses and the ocean beyond them.

The Texas Hill Country Goes Coastal
After our client sold the family’s ranch home in historic Boerne, Texas and bought a contemporary residence at Galveston’s Diamond Beach development, she realized that she wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the hill country, the furniture, or the fond memories she and her family had acquired over the years… Our mission was to re-create the character and charm of her former Hill Country ranch within the contemporary spaces of her new coastal getaway at the Diamond Beach Condominiums in Galveston, Texas. Check out the stunning transfomation of not just the spaces, but the many of the owner's family treasures.
